To synchronize content manually
- Start Windows Media Player and then connect your device to your computer.
- In the Sync feature, in the Items to Copy pane, click Edit Playlist.
The Edit Playlist dialog box opens.
- In the Edit Playlist dialog box, do any of the following:
- Add items to the playlist:
- In the View library by list, click the category that you want to use to sort the contents of your library.
- Click an item in the list to expand it and to locate the individual file that you want to add.
- Click the individual file to add it to the playlist.
- Delete items from the playlist:
- Click the items that you want to delete in the Playlist name box, and then click the Delete button
.
- Rearrange items in the playlist:
- Click the item that you want to move in the Playlist name box, and then click the Move Up or Move Down button.
- In the Items on Device pane, select the portable device, and then do any of the following:
- To view quality-level settings, click the Portable device properties button.
- To create a folder on the device, click the Create folder button.
- To permanently delete folders and items from the portable device to free storage space on it for your synchronized content, click folders and items displayed in the Items on Device pane, and then click the Delete button. The Player cannot delete folders that contain files other than digital media files.
- Click Start Sync in the Items to Copy pane.
Note
- You can stop synchronization at any time by clicking the Stop Sync button in the Items to Copy pane. This does not remove items already synchronized to the device, but does prevent additional items from being synchronized.
